In a bizarre collaboration that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of banned ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine sect.

The adventure concentrates on "bizarre tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Additional Material

Players who finish the mission will receive an exclusive katana alongside numerous items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Addition

This patch also brings the game's third free story addition, titled "The Enigma." True to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some lingering questions from the main storyline.
